Gold medal-winning athlete Kriss Akabusi has joined specialist buy-to-let franchise Platinum Property Partners (PPP), after giving a talk at a motivational workshop in April last year.

Akabusi presented the network’s awards at the Oxford Belfry last night and after confirming his membership, said: “Yesterday I had my first real meeting with other Partners. I went round to their HMOs, saw how they had been finished, and saw the mistakes they had made. I realised that this philosophy of sharing and caring was real. These people were genuinely happy to give up their time to help me.”

He told the audience of the growing network of more than 200 buy-to-let investment partners “I want to grow, I want to develop, I want to learn new things. I might be a gold medallist, I might be a great runner, I might be 56 and I might be a granddad, but I am a baby in this business and I can’t wait to get started with your help.”

Founder and chairman of PPP, Steve Bolton, said: “Kriss is a truly inspirational individual and world-class performer, who embodies the PPP philosophy and values. We are proud to welcome him into the family. He is yet another valuable addition to our unique community of like-minded, successful and ethical property investors and entrepreneurs.”

Platinum Property Partners (PPP) is a franchise property investment established in 2007 by entrepreneur Steve Bolton.

PPP offers what it calls a ‘tried and tested system’ that maximises rental income from specialist buy-to-let shared housing for young professionals, as well as benefit from long-term capital growth.

Partners are trained by a team of 30 property investment experts to help pin-point the locations and identify the properties that will generate the greatest return, offer advice on creating more rooms within each property to maximise rental income and tax efficiency, for example.
