Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks are launching a fee-free mortgage offer beginning Monday 11 June 2012.
Both lenders are waiving arrangement fees for customers looking to take a new mortgage or switching to Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank before 14th July.
The lenders said the offer represents a saving of £999 which is the current mortgage arrangement fee. Both lenders have also reduced the rates for first-time buyer mortgages to 5.99% for a 95% Loan to Value (LTV) mortgage and 4.99% for a 90% LTV deal - and customers remortgaging from another lender are exempt from paying any legal or valuation fees.
Steve Reid, retail director for Clydesdale Bank, said:
"At Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks we remain focused on offering a range of competitive products that meet the differing needs of our customers.
"Our fee-free mortgage offer is designed to help people find the correct mortgage to suit their individual needs without having to pay an arrangement fee."
