A property in Yorkshire has broken records – for being advertised online with 142 pictures of its interior and exterior.

The five bedroomed mansion is located near Sheffield and is valued at around £3m.

But it is not the price of the property that is turning heads. This house has been listed online with 142 photographs – a record breaking amount.

Pictures of the home – which includes its own tennis court, home cinema and swimming pool – have been listed on the property portal Rightmove.

This beats the previous record holder, which had 129 pictures uploaded.

Other features of the property include a games room, garage block and landscaped gardens. Blenheim Park Estates sales manager Aline Newton said the property needed to be shown off.

“The property totally deserves as many photographs as you can produce. It’s an absolutely stunning property,” the agent said.

“The standard of the interior is so high and it really does have to be viewed to be appreciated. It offers so much – five ensuite bedrooms, a fantastic state of the art kitchen.”

Miles Shipside, commercial director at Rightmove, said uploading a large amount of pictures would help attract buyers. However, he said most agents chose to post between 10 and 20 snaps.

“Sometimes to impress potential sellers the agent will take a lot of photographs to say, ‘look how much time and effort I have spent marketing this property’,” he said.

“It can be a law of negative returns. People’s attention spans are relatively short if you give everything away about a property people might not go and see it.

“You want people to be excited about what they see on the internet and then go and visit it.”
