The app, called the Nationwide Homebuyer’s Companion offers first-time buyers and home movers guides, tips and tools to assist in the process of buying and selling a home.

It also provides users with calculators to help work out the affordability and borrowing requirements for particular mortgages, with tools to access and compare different Nationwide mortgage products.

The app for is free from app stores and is available for iOS and AndroidTM mobile devices.

Tracie Pearce, Nationwide head of mortgages, said:

“This app enables home movers to research the process and to access the required information quickly and easily.”
