Buy to Let
Good news for UK buy-to-let market
Rents continue to rise as demand from tenants remains strong, according to research from Paragon.
The average annual rent in England and Wales had risen by 10% since November 2006.
The research showed that rents had increased for six consecutive months due to high tenant demand.
Nigel Terrington, chief executive at Paragon, was confident that this growth would continue for the next five to ten years.
He said: “Pundits may indulge in scare stories about buy to let, but that won’t change the fact that many millions of people rely on the private rented sector for a roof over their heads.”
However, he also warned against complacency in the face of this growth and highlighted the importance of choosing the right property in the right area in order to achieve maximum returns.
