ING Direct mortgage products are no longer available to new customers after the lender withdrew its entire range today.

The lender will no longer accept new applications following the completion of its purchase by Barclays.

ING had previously announced it would stop accepting new applications on February 28, although this was later extended due to a late surge in applications.

The lender also confirmed that all customers who took out a mortgage with ING would now be classified as Barclays Direct customers.

A spokesperson for ING Direct told Your Mortgage: “We can confirm that ING Direct mortgage products are no longer being sold to new customers.”

ING Direct launched into the UK in May 2003, all of its 1.5m customers are set to transfer to Barclays and will be contacted by the bank this month.
