Metro Bank is reducing its rates on its residential two-year fixed rate and tracker mortgages.

A two-year fixed rate at 70% loan to value (LTV) is now available at 2.04% while an 85% LTV at 2.39%.

The new range is available direct through the bank as well as brokers.

Last month the bank cut rates across its five-year fixed rate mortgage range starting from 2.84% available up to 60% loan-to-value.

This follows a period where many banks’ and societies have been cutting their fixed rate mortgages in an increasingly competitive market.
