Yorkshire BS tops mortgage best buy tables in 2011
Yorkshire Building Society saw 1,594 of its mortgages top the best buy tables in 2011, 16% more than any other lender, according to research.
Kantar Media’s PressWatch Financial survey revealed that Yorkshire Building Society came top of the best buy mentions in the UK national press last year, while its subsidiary Chelsea Building Society came fourth, with 858 products attracting attention in 2011.
Yorkshire’s group direct mortgage manager Chris Smith said:
“With these findings from Kantar Media’s PressWatch Financial, the Yorkshire can successfully claim the title of ‘home of the best buy’.
“This ranking was achieved through our wide choice of excellent value products for all consumers, meeting as many different needs as possible.
“As a mutual, we’re committed to offering our members the best possible deals and we will work hard in 2012 to continue to offer the most competitive products.”
